Students from Romania called the 8.5-Day Health & Happiness a “Vacation for the Soul”.

These six students encouraged everyone to take advantage of the fact that the Bodhi Meditation Centre is in their backyard. While they happily spend up to 24 hours traveling to get to the retreat, those living nearby might only need 24 minutes of travel time. They reminded us all of our gratitude to Grandmaster JinBodhi for opening a center in Vancouver.

Here’s another story from one of the 8.5-Day Health & Happiness Retreat students who shared what Bodhi Meditation means to him.

Justin’s Story

Justin 2016-10

Justin said he was guided to Bodhi Meditation. Everything inside him wanted to be at the retreat.  Everything that is, except his ego.

“What I experienced here is nothing short of miraculous.”

Bodhi, he said, is the bridge to miracles.

“About a year ago, when I first came to Bodhi, I knew it was a place I had to be,” he said. “I have realized that I never have to suffer alone again and feel a great peace in knowing that there is a place Bodhi in the world I have the gift of choosing them as my family.”

He expressed gratitude for all the people at Bodhi and thanked the Divine for loving him so much.

Here’s a poem he wrote and shared:

The Bodhi Heart

by Justin McCutcheon

There is a child that lives in all our hearts bright and beautiful as a golden sunrise

To love and nurture this child is to begin to allow the heart to soften and open to what could be

As the heart opens like a flower bathing its petals with the golden rays of the sun

There is an overpowering feeling of ultimate compassion for all things

The Bodhi heart has the ability to accept all things which make life truly beautiful

It is by dying from the past and singing from the heart

That we can truly live and receive all the blessing from the Universe
