I am very fortunate to have been introduced to Bodhi Meditation in 2015. Grandmaster JinBodhi and his teachings, healings and blessings truly saved and transformed my life. I suffered from fibromyalgia and therefore had pain all over my body. Some Vancouver students might remember me lying on the floor throughout the first few retreats. Now I am a different person. I can walk freely and enjoy good health. No words can express my gratitude to Grandmaster and Bodhi Meditation.

However, the last year has been very difficult for me, especially the last couple months.
My mother fell and broke her hip and three ribs. I couldn’t visit her. Doctors did not know if she would survive because of her unstable heart condition. Heartbreaking family issues have posed another level of anxiety. On top of that, I live about six hours north of Vancouver where many forest fires are burning out of control. The fires are very close to my home. My community has been on evacuation alert, so I have to be ready to leave at a moment’s notice. This adds a third layer of stress and anxiety that I do not know how to deal with.

At this most exhausted and stressful time, Grandmaster hosted a wonderful chanting class: The Greatest Gift Chanting Class! It basically saved me. This class has brought many blessings to me, gifted me with calmness and peace that I cannot describe, helping me to accept and deal with these adversities. I feel strong and no longer fear the raging fires. I can sleep well now. Grandmaster guided us to chant for parents and families. I chanted for my mother and siblings. My mother is now out of the hospital and doing well. I have also accepted and let go of concerns with my siblings.

During the retreat, another heartbreaking thing happened. My beloved pony of 35 years died. This was way too much and brought me to my knees with grief. While praying and chanting to Grandmaster and Buddha, I had a very clear vision of my pony running out of the flames with me on his back, carrying me out of harm’s way. This image helped to calm my nerves which have been on edge for weeks with the fires and everything life has thrown my way. The next day, I saw a picture of white horse that Grandmaster posted on Facebook! That was so cool! Then I knew my pony was in a much better place.

What is even more amazing is that, after 11 days of chanting, on the last day of the wonderful class, much needed rain fell for the first time after 45 days. The last recordable amount fell on June 15. This brought so much relief for the forests and everyone. Thank you for this greatest gift! Thank you Grandmaster and all buddhas! The Greatest Gift Chanting Class brought us the most beautiful gift! Thank you, again. I am happy and healthy. I am forever grateful as I have received the greatest gifts through participating in this chanting retreat.
