For the past two years, the continuous pandemic has left people fearful and uncertain. Many are faced with the challenges of unemployment, loss of education, loss of income, and even loss of their life. Since the beginning of Covid-19, Grandmaster JinBodhi has paid close attention to the development of the pandemic around the world. With live broadcast teachings twice a week and hundreds of live broadcast events to date, Grandmaster hopes to help everyone eliminate worries, and bring physical and mental health and hope to everyone during these difficult times.

In addition to offering teachings to the public, Grandmaster also hopes to contribute to the communities where Bodhi Meditation centers are located, especially to the medical workers fighting on the frontlines of this pandemic. In the live broadcast on June 16th, 2021, Grandmaster painted the Auspiciousness of Five Blessings art piece. Grandmaster hopes that all the earnings from this painting can support local medical institutions in greater Vancouver and help the local community in the prevention and fight against the pandemic.

Over a month after the painting’s release, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Grandmaster JinBodhi’s dharma teaching journey, Grandmaster donated all of the earnings raised, as well as his personal donation, a total of 400,000 Canadian dollars to the Richmond Hospital Foundation in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.

On July 27th, 2021, Grandmaster JinBodhi, City of Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie, Richmond Hospital Foundation Vice President Candace Hernandez, and Co-Senior Medical Director of Vancouver Coastal Health Dr. Alexiadis, attended the donation ceremony at Richmond Hospital. During the ceremony, Mayor Brodie expressed that the need for donations from public health care institutions is extensive during this pandemic. Bodhi Meditation’s donation at this point of the pandemic means a lot to the City of Richmond. The donations will help the local medical system far into the future and ensure better medical care and protection for the entire community.

Vice President Hernandez of the Richmond Hospital Foundation expressed her gratitude to Bodhi Meditation for its continuous support to Richmond Hospital. When the pandemic first broke out at the start of 2020, Bodhi Meditation immediately donated 100,000 masks, personal protective equipment, and other medical supplies to the City of Richmond. This donation helped Richmond Hospital through one of the roughest times of the pandemic. Not only that, the meditation music and methods taught by Grandmaster JinBodhi helped the medical staff working at Richmond Hospital. It helped them relax, calm down and find peace amongst their continuous high-pressure work conditions, enabling them to face the challenges of the pandemic more positively and with more energy.

Faced with everyone’s expression of gratitude, Grandmaster JinBodhi said, “As a resident of Richmond, it is my honor to be able to contribute to the community. In the face of such a devastating pandemic, it is a brave and remarkable act of all medical workers to serve the public on the frontlines. We admire them and are all very moved. Thank you to all the medical workers for their hard work and dedication. This donation is a token of our appreciation, support, and respect for all medical workers.”

Love is caring; love is helping; love is dedication; love is giving. We hope that everyone and all public institutions who need help during this pandemic will receive the support and assistance they need to make it through. We pray the pandemic will soon pass and everyone can live a healthy, safe and prosperous life! Join us, and together we can bring more love and happiness to the world!
