Apples, walnuts and cinnamon are a winning combination in any baking, but how about on a pizza? The answer is yes. Add some Brie cheese for creaminess. Walnuts are a wonderful food for the brain. In fact, a whole walnut resembles a brain. Not only are they delicious, they’re also full of healthy fats and packed with the best antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and protein.

Apple and Walnut Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 pre-made pizza crust
  • Olive oil to brush the crust
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 medium apples, thinly sliced
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 4 oz Brie cheese, thinly sliced (optional)
  • ¼ cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions:

  • Sauté apples in butter and brown sugar.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and toss.
  • Brush pizza crust with olive oil, arrange apple slices on the crust, sprinkle with chopped walnuts and top with Brie.
  • Bake at 400F for 10-15 minutes.
