Apples, walnuts and cinnamon are a winning combination in any baking, but how about on a pizza? The answer is yes. Add some Brie cheese for creaminess. Walnuts are a wonderful food for the brain. In fact, a whole walnut resembles a brain. Not only are they delicious, they’re also full of healthy fats and packed with the best antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and protein.
Ingredients:
- 1 pre-made pizza crust
- Olive oil to brush the crust
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2 medium apples, thinly sliced
- 3 Tbsp brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp cinnamon
- 4 oz Brie cheese, thinly sliced (optional)
- ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
Instructions:
- Sauté apples in butter and brown sugar.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and toss.
- Brush pizza crust with olive oil, arrange apple slices on the crust, sprinkle with chopped walnuts and top with Brie.
- Bake at 400F for 10-15 minutes.
