As Premier of the Province of British Columbia, I am pleased to send my warmest Lunar New Year greetings to everyone celebrating with Bodhi Meditation.

The Spring Festival is a wonderful time to reflect on the successes and challenges of the past year while looking forward to the wealth of possibility that lies ahead. Though the celebrations may look a little different at this time, we can still find ways to connect with our loved ones and be inspired by all the Tiger represents. Symbolizing courage, strength and vitality, the Tiger encourages us to look to the future with optimism as we come together in hopes of a brighter future for all.

British Columbian is proud of our vibrant cultural diversity, and we are grateful for occasions like this that offer valuable opportunities to honour our multicultural heritage. When we share the traditions we hold dear, we open hearts and minds to a deeper understanding and appreciation of one another, helping to make our province an even more inclusive and welcoming place to call home.

I wish all British Columbians a very happy 2022 Spring Festival!

Dear Friends,
I am pleased to extend my warmest greetings to everyone attending Bodhi Meditation’s Chinese New Year celebration.

This year, Chinese communities across Canada and around the world will welcome the Year of the Tiger, a symbol of strength and bravery. While festivities may look different this year, this occasion nonetheless offers a wonderful opportunity to exchange warm wishes with friends and family and to give thanks for one’s blessings. It is also a chance for all of us to recognize the tremendous contributions that Canadians of Chinese descent have made, and continue to make, to our nation in all fields of endeavour.

In this New Year, let us not only look back at how far we have come, but also look forward to a future filled with good health, happiness and prosperity for all.

On behalf of the Government of Canada, I wish everyone a wonderful Chinese New Year.

Sincerely,
The Rt. Hon. Justin P. J. Trudeau, P.C., M.P.
Prime Minister of Canada
