Best Version of Ourselves: November’s 8.5-Day Health & Happiness Retreat

The last day of the 8.5-Day Health & Happiness Retreat is all about sharing, healing, inspiring, opening, supporting, and gratitude. When we hear someone share their story of being helped, it touches others and gives hope to those who hear it. It is also a blessing for those who hear the story and a blessing for the person who shared. We need to remember that our positive thoughts about others send them a blessing as well as give us a blessing.

While it may be the last day of the retreat it is also the start of something new. We want to be the best version of ourselves and we now know how to do that and flourish thanks to Grandmaster JinBodhi and Bodhi Meditation. If we keep our hearts full of loving kindness and compassion everything will change. Focus on someone else – make someone else happy – and what bounces back to us is joy, love, and happiness. Bodhi Meditation is one prescription that heals all.

Here are some of the stories from students:

Gerda has suffered from gout, pins and needles in her feet, and plantar fasciitis for a few years. That is gone. The soles of her feet felt as if they were on fire. That pain is gone. She also had problems with her hip. That problem has improved. Her spine feels more aligned and feels much better. Why? She has been prostrating 20 minutes a day for a few weeks.

Rosemary came here for one day only, but she continued to come because she wanted joy back in her life. During the retreat she felt gratitude to her parents and had gratitude for all the caring people at the retreat. “I have joy in my heart.”

Owen feels profound energy every time he practices The Meditation of Greater Illumination. He feels transformed at the cellular level. His flexibility has improved. Physically, he was in good shape as he works out regularly, but he found that his strength has improved by at least twenty percent this week. The pain in his feet he endured for years has almost disappeared. He shared that he is normally a big eater, but by Day 3 he couldn’t eat as much as he normally does, and that has continued. He’s just not hungry, but is energized and sleeping deeply.

Lear had called her friend Owen weekly to come to Bodhi Meditation. When she walked into the retreat she was pleased to see he was here. “People do come when they are asked,” she said. Lighting candles gave Lear the greatest joy. She lit them for her parents, for her cats, and for herself. At one point she wanted to light more, but she saw that her wishes were being fulfilled and filled her heart with joy.

Martine realized that emotions are the root of our diseases. Her heartache manifested in her mouth and throat because she couldn’t speak up about it. During the retreat she had so much clearing from her throat. She expressed gratitude to Master JinBodhi for helping her deal with clearing the stuck energy. She also had “zig zag” in her spine. One day during the retreat she felt energy flowing up her spine. Later she had her husband check it and sure enough the crookedness was gone.

Louise was out of balance. She was doing too much in the physical world and not enough in the spiritual world. The retreat brought her inner peace and joy.  A few weeks ago she decided to attend the retreat and as soon as she registered she felt joy.
