2016 Canada Day

The Vancouver Bodhi Meditation Centre celebrated Canada’s 149th birthday by joining in the Canada Day Parade at the 71st annual Steveston Salmon Festival, one of the largest Canada Day celebrations in the country. A six-person flag team lead the way for a Bodhi-inspired decorated float, filled with 30 Bodhi Meditation volunteers waving Canadian flags. Their smiling faces were followed by a dance group of 70 volunteers, marching with red and white pompoms past more than 70,000 people who lined the route through the historic fishing village of Steveston.
